One Year for Jesus team from Omsk Nehemiah Church came to Leninsk, a small village of about 50 houses (20 of them didnt have habitants). Here is a story told by one of the team members, Ivan Pavlov. "It was one of my first distributions. Frankly speaking, I was nervous. But I clearly understood one thing: if I am ashamed of Christ or His Word, then I wouldnt be able to justify myself when I am in Heaven. I prayed with my brothers and the Lord gave me peace. When we came to this village I was not sure what to say to people. But I know that I believe in great God, and I remember how I got saved: somebody told me that there was God who loved me.In Leninsk we went to every home and it was quite simple, we greeted people wished them Happy Easter and began to tell them the story of Jesus, who rose from the dead on Easter Day. On one hand, I was happy to talk about Jesus and the reason for the big celebration. But on the other hand, looking into the eyes of people who were still drunk from celebrating Easter the day before, I felt sad. Unfortunately, this is the way many people in Russia celebrate Christian holidays. They just want a reason to get drunk I realized as never before that these people need Jesus desperatelyAs we went from door to door we shared the Good News with everybody, gave them Christian newspapers, we gave Books of Hope to children. But people in this village didnt want to reconcile with God I started to think to myself: Will there be anybody who realizes the great need in Savior, who will accept Him? Our God is an awesome God. In one of the last houses we met an old lady, in Russian we call them babushka, which means grandmother. She was very hospitable and kind. She was the first one who prayed the sinners prayer and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. We were so blessed. Then we were told that there was one babushka in Leninsk who believed in God. Local teenagers showed us her house. We were very happy to meet her. This other old lady told us that somebody shared the Good News with her when she went to the closest big town to visit her children. She brought her neighbor who she had witnessed about Jesus. We found out that the two of them were praying for Christians to come to their village and bring them Christian literature. And God answered their prayers. They also told us that their dream was to have a Bible, at least one copy for the two of them. We brought the other two old ladies who we had just met and who had just gotten saved. So now there were four Christian babushkas in Leninsk. And we all rejoiced when our team leader Sergey Durasov told us that our church had just received the shipment of Bibles. We could tell the four babushkas that we would come back and bring them Bibles. Its hard to express in words how grateful we all were to our Lord. We prayed together, sang songs. The babushkas told us that they would be waiting for us to come back with Bibles and they would be praising God every day. I know that the four of them are in good hands of our Lord. They will be spending time together. I firmly believe that their village will be transformed as they pray, read and study Gods Word together. If you are dreaming of some great ministry that you can be a part of, I can tell you to get up and go and bring the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people who live in darkness.» Leninsk village, Omsk region, Siberia

Rough Roads>Borders>Moldova
I have been on some rough roads in the last 10 years! From Northern ice covered Russia to the Silk Road of Kyrgyzstan, beautiful, rough, untamed, and dangerous. This is not even mentioning the driving... …playing chicken on unmarked roads with trucks sheep and with an occasional babushka. This week I lost the fight...the road finally beat down my STL vehicle. You need to understand something...you don’t know the kind of shaking that occurs here…. I am sure I have had Kidney stone crushed because of the shaking my body takes. My vehicle was actually shaken to the point in wearing down a part of my engine.12:00 midnight: So I found myself and my cold family trying to cross the Ukraine in the middle of the night. I was in trouble and without any phone numbers of people in Moldova. Cold night, 5o k from anyone, and the temp was dropping fast, these where not good signs. After sitting in a t-shirt for an hour and my kids starting to complain about the cold (35 degrees), I climb up top of the rack on the Nissan and grabbed some jackets and sweaters from our bags to lay on kids as they huddled together.2:00 o'clock::Now you know as Men we have times of readjustment in our lives. I like to have mine during moments of crisis or when Jen wants to discuss mine. Pondering my thought and looking at my breath forms ice crystals on the window, rethinking my decisions that lead me to this broken down place. I looked over to my cold wife and mentioned that life is pretty low when you have to wear your wife’s sweater to keep from freezing. Her muffed response through the layers of clothes on her head and the chatter of teeth she nicely mentioned that I should go look for a village!!! 4 o’clock: Igor arrived after moving from border to border till he found a policeman who remembered us crossing and felt compassion enough to allow him to come and find us for a small fee.4:20 AM: Igor cranked up the heat…and children are sleeping, we crossed 8 borders to get back to Chisinau Moldova and arrived at 9am and collapsed in bed.Honestly most the time in Russia I don’t know what I am doing or what’s going to happen once I get up each day. I live a nomadic life trying to do the will of God and when Jennifer and I don’t understand God timing in everything …it’s ok because we do know this that He has a purpose and a calling on our lives and we trust He will take care of us, and simply, He does. Fear and worrying benefit us nothing, but without that knowledge and conviction we would have left many times. Even wearing Jens sweater for a night didn’t have a lasting effect and the boys seeing me in Jen’s clothing …well nothing a little counseling can’t fix later. In the end God moved the red sea for us once again

Here is a great story about some leadership training in Sibeira in May!First Advanced National Training Camp in Siberia & Far East RussiaBy Kirk and Karla Ford, Eurasia Royal Rangers MissionariesAs you looked around the room at the smiling faces and heard the laughter echoing from different parts of the building, you couldn’t help being reminded of a family reunion. It was evident that each person belonged and was accepted by everyone else. Good natured teasing and play interspersed a lot of hard work and problem solving. This was the atmosphere of the first Advanced National Training Camp in Siberia and Far Eastern Russia held on April 28-May 1, 2011. With the evident spirit of mutual love and respect, it was hard to believe that these 18 commanders came from 9 different regions and 11 separate outposts spread out over five time zones. Our goal for this first ANTC was not only to go through the program ourselves, but to prepare ourselves to be on staff at the next ANTC. A team from the United States led by Tom Frith, North Carolina District, helped us to reach that goal. We had a set of unusual circumstances, as it seemed that Satan tried everything to stop this camp from taking place. No one was immune, from a U.S. team member that was bit by a Brown Recluse spider a couple of weeks before the trip, to a second team member that had to be hospitalized for most of the camp due to a bad staph infection in his leg. On top of that, two foot of snow fell during the first full night of the camp and throughout most of the second day, breaking power lines and making outdoor classes next to impossible. But due to great teamwork, we were able to generate our own power, keep the boiler system stoked for warmth, and adapt to the teaching conditions. To tell the truth, we never even missed a beat, and everyone left for home full of joy and excited about what the future holds! You never know what to expect in Siberia. Great Job Guys!Mark

We have chairs
So we said match it and you did it! We are thrilled that we have now tallied the amount of chairs to 2000, the Russian Christians gave and you gave! Chairs have been bought and they are a sight for sore…well I won’t go there. Not a moment too late for our constantly growing church! Thank you for your commitment to see Russia evangelized, experience God in church building where less than 10 percent of Russian congregations have nowhere to meet. If you would like to continue in helping us evangelized, build and reach the lost in an un reached area of the world.
